Brands turn to New York Times Advertising to make their mark on the world. Through unmatched creative expertise, purpose-driven marketing and The New York Times platform to connect with audiences everywhere great stories are told, New York Times Advertising elevates brands through the world’s most premium ad experiences.
In an ever-shifting media landscape, advertising at The Times has evolved and experienced significant growth across an entirely new set of disciplines. To bring clarity and presence to their holistic offering, the department officially introduced itself as New York Times Advertising.
Establishing Our Brand
Branding and design agency Champions Design collaborated closely with the in-house team to develop an identity system that unites the department, reflects the updated mission and ethos and aligns with The Times brand overall, inclusive of a new logo, brand palette and design system based on a simple yet bold scheme.
Black and white nod to The Times, while yellow emerges as a compelling and uplifting color the department can own.
As New York Times Advertising has grown, so too have the number of digital platforms. To help create a more integrated digital experience and present a unified brand, New York Times Advertising partnered with Stink Studios to streamline the user experience, collapsing multiple websites, including T Brand, the content studio of New York Times Advertising, The New York Times Media Kit and the Self-Service Advertising Portal — into a single digital platform.
The new website is bold, expressive and dynamic with modern functionality and discerning UX. A core color palette of black and yellow balance dynamism and prestige. Pages with dark backgrounds and larger images express who New York Times Advertising is, while the content-rich pages are intentionally lighter to ease into more complex content.
